Progress toward efficient algorithms for wide-area surveys for unknown pulsars and other continuous-wave sources is described.  By a combination of iterated hierarchical algorithms and narrowbanding, we expect to be able to do very deep searches over a wide bandwidth of frequencies with a computing system based on a cluster of computers.
