VIRGO is a long baseline interferometer aiming at the the detection of  gravitational waves produced by astrophysical events. The detection  system is the system which detect the gravitational wave signal by measuring the interferometer output power. It includes the output mode-cleaner,the photodetectors, the front-end electronics and the numerisation electronics. Part of the system is suspended under vacuum and its position is controlled using a CCD camera. The whole system has been built and tested and it will be soon installed at Cascina (Italy). The results will be presented.
